Alumapalooza Four

We've been very busy for the last two days. Wednesday, we attended the Adult kite flying, setting up and flying techniques of exotic kites, get organized, tips o how to de- clutter and organize the trailer. In the afternoon we attended the Dutch Oven Cooking, very interesting, they had 14 Dutch ovens cooking monkey bread, on a bed of charcoal and a few charcoals on the top. Each day they have factory tours at 10 am and 2 pm to watch them made the Airstreams. At 4 pm each day, they give out door prizes, announcements, and happy hours. On this day, the company had given hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone, there is to be 165 trailers registered to attend.

Today we sat through tech tips seminar, walked through new Airstreams that they brought in, 5 units for everyone to check out. I walked around with Obie the Clown to take pictures of him with kids and adults, while Ken sat through more seminars. They also had a pool party, test drive of a Ford Taurus pulling a 30ft. trailer, there is a company called Cam Am from London, Ontario that does these kind of setups for trailers. We also had more door prizes, Aluminum Gong Show, happy hour, open grill for anyone to cook whatever they what to cook and then a Jam Session, before a storm came through with high winds and rain.

Alumapalooza Four

We left early afternoon on Saturday, May 25, heading toward Ohio. We had stopped for the night in Wheeling, WV at a Wal-Mart, across the street of Cabalas. Next morning, we continued our adventure to Jackson Center, Ohio arriving early afternoon, parked our trailer on a small parking lot until Tuesday, when the Alumapalooza starts.

On Monday, Memorial Day, we all had a cookout with hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, chips and the works, which was all supplied by Airstream. We all sat around until the rain came, rained most of the night. Wen we got up in the morning it was a little cloudy, but warmer that the last few nights. We got parked this morning about 9:30 in an open field, registered, walked over to the Airstream store, came back and ate lunch. Ken had gone to a tech tips work shop this afternoon. They also have bike ride, factory tour, open house, for whoever what's to participate, ice cream social, and a roving happy hour, just to get to meet everyone.
