Black Creek, Vancouver Island, BC

We had left about 9:30 am from campground and headed south, stopping in Sayward to see the Cable Cafe. The Cable Cafe is a steel frame building bolted to a cement base. The entire walls are covered with used logging cable, mostly 2" skyline right hand lay, with a strap to the left hand lay cable around the center. The Cafe was already closed for the season.

After getting setup at the new campground, we left and went to Comox to get fuel and on the way back we stopped at an Artisan's Festival, we only had 30 minutes to browse, what beautiful things they had. It was held behind a house with paths of bark winding around trees and bushes, great landscaping.

After returning, we had social hour with a theme of Country and Western Day, dressed in western attire and games to play, roping, barrel racing, cattle round-up, and shoot out with water guns, what fun and laughs we all had.

We then had a Western BBQ, with bison burgers and all the fixes, baked beans, chips and cake, someone's 46th anniversary, and ice cream. After dinner a skit to finish the evening.

This morning we left early and went to Costco's to replace the batteries in the truck, which we did before leaving in May, they just weren't starting the truck right, replaced with no questions asked. While driving through Campbell River, along the shoreline they had a chainsaw sculptures, really beautifully done.

We then met some of our group at Mussels and More for a tour through their pottery company. We were shown the fun process from start to finish in making cups, bowls, dishes, and even bathroom sinks.

Telling us the process that every piece must go through before showing up on the shelves.

After our tour, we went back to camp, had a social hour and drivers meeting for tomorrow's move. We had walked down to the beach to see the water what a view.
