On Sunday, July 21, we did laundry, cost $4.00 & $6.00 for wash machines and a quarter for 3 minutes for dryers, so it wasn't really cheap to get clean clothes. We then walked down the block a little to get free wifi. The rest of the day we just sat around and talked to the leader all afternoon. In the evening we drove down to see the Athabasca Falls, really great scenery.

Monday, July 22, we left the campground about noon and headed out of town to Maligne Lake, where we had a boat cruise. The cruise is designated as the "Best Cruise in Canada" by Readers Digest Magazine. During our 90 minute cruise, the captain and crew engaged us with an interesting and informative narrative about the wildlife, history, glaciology and geology of the remarkable valley. At the world famous Spirit Island, we disembarked to stretch our legs and took in the Maligne Lake's fjord-like north end where you can see and photograph the most internationally recognized symbol of the Canadian Rockies.

After our cruise, we had tea at Maligne Lake Chalet, great tea and different foods to taste. We've never had tea before and it was really different, everyone agreed. We also had a drivers meeting before leaving.

While driving back and forth from the cruise we saw goats on the road.
After we returned we relaxed outside, because the bugs weren't too bad, before going in the evening.
