Seward, Alaska
July 9, Woke up this morning all foggy and cool about 56*. Went and made reservations for tomorrow to go on the Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise, a 7.5 hr cruise, did some looking in the gift shops. We then decided to go for a drive to the other side of the harbor, not much to see except to see the town of Seward. We then drove to see Exit Glacier, which is 2 miles long and descends 3,500 ft from the Harding Icefield. I went into the nature center and stamped my Passport book, looked around and saw how the glacier is formed with about 40 other glacier coming from the same area, getting about 100 inches of snow every year. We had walked the path to see the glacier a little closer, great walk, but flys where terrible. Came back into town, stopped at the BBQ place for some lunch, good brisket burrito. We walked down and watched guys fishing a short distance from us, a creek that comes into the bay, they can fish on the bay side of the bridge, catching silver salmon.
