Seward, Alaska

July 10,  We walked downtown to catch the 10 am cruise, had to check in at 9 am and then just waited until we could board, the boat was full.  We had cruised down the bay to Resurrection bay, up Aialik Bay to see glaciers, Ailalik, Petersen and the Holgate Glaciers.  Ailalik glacier was 1 mile wide the other two weren’t was wide, put still impressive.  On our travels we saw fin, humpback and orca whales, bald eagles, otters, seals and different birds, including two different species of puffins, and cormorants. They served cafeteria style food of prime rib, cranberry horseradish, which was delicious, salmon, salad, rice pilaf, and later chocolate brownie and cheesecake.  We had sat with two guys from Germany, very interesting, only one could speak English, they worked together for years, engineers for rollercoasters, traveling to different areas including Hershey, making sure they are put together right and working correctly.  We had returned back to the dock about 5:30, walked back to trailer sat some dinner and in bed by 9:30, very tired from the days cruise.
